Many churches struggle with outreach, especially outreach focused on children who do not know Jesus or anything about the Christian message. A special challenge accompanies this work when ministering to children in under privileged areas. These potentially at-risk children need us to make a long-term commitment to being there because many have been abandoned, rejected or relocated. Over the previous few weeks St George’s has been focussing it’s Sunday evening talks on ‘Mission’, in preparation for our Mission Week which is 21st-27th July. The talks have been wide ranging, discussing personal mission, workplace mission and even mission in Arab countries. Read more…
The Alpha course running at St George’s came to a close last night after 10 weeks of talks and discussions which allowed people to explore the Christian faith.
